CORE has reported a ‘strong’ increase in demand for its services over the past few weeks with a raft of new contracts.
CORE is providing earthworks and civil engineering services as part of plans to create a new development in Oldham that will provide 2 industrial and warehouse units in a quality landscaped setting.
Work will start in early May. CORE will be clearing the site, removing invasive species and removing topsoil material which will be remodelled to accommodate the development plateaux. CORE will also install underground drainage culverts alongside highway improvements for access into the new development site.
The scheme fronts the B6189 Foxdenton Lane close to its junction with Broadgate. Junction 21 of the M60 motorway is located approximately 1 mile away and can be accessed via Broadgate or the A663 Broadway.
CORE has worked with Marshall CDP on previous civil engineering projects and has established a particularly good track record with the developer, having helped deliver other major development projects recently, including Gain Lane in Bradford and extensive earthworks at Gildersome in Leeds.
The green light has also been given for civils and infrastructure work to commence in Harrogate for Teakwood Partners. CORE has been appointed to carry out highways work and new road construction in preparation for the redevelopment of 11 acres of land off Burley Bank Road in Harrogate.
Lee Ferreday, Operations Manager at CORE commented: “Despite the uncertainties in the face of the pandemic and recession, commercial development continues to be a very strong sector for us, and we expect to see more strategic sites coming forward in the next 12 months, underpinning continued growth in our civils workload.
“Our clients understand that we deliver schemes of any scale in a safe, expeditious and commercially viable way. Having worked with both CDP and Teakwood on many other projects, it’s rewarding to know their team have confidence in everything we deliver.”
