Introduction

In 2020 Lovell Homes submitted plans to build 141 homes on land south of Chestnut Drive, Louth, bringing more affordable homes to the area and building on its existing footprint in the town.

CORE had previously been awarded the contract for the adoptable Section 38 roads, Section 104 & 106 drainage, as well as the swales and attenuation ponds for the first phase of the development in 2019 which comprised 100 residential plots.

Following the success of this first phase, Lovell Homes are now moving on to the second phase.

For this second phase, as well as again winning the contract for all the roads and drainage works, CORE have additionally been awarded the work to construct all the plot foundations, floors, plot drainage, services, private roads, drives and paths to each of the 141 plots.

Within the phase two works, there is around 600m of fully adoptable roads to build, over 4,000m of drainage pipework to instal with diameters up to 600mm and a large attenuation pond to build which is designed to hold 3,000m3 of water during the heaviest storms.

The works will begin in June 2022, with the main roads and drainage to be completed by the end of the year and the plot-works currently planned to be built over the next three years, running until 2025.
