Introduction

In July 2019 CORE commenced work for Next PLC in Doncaster. The contract included an extension to the carpark at the 263,000 sq ft warehouse at the Redhouse Interchange.

The civils package also included drainage, kerbing, attenuation, services, fencing & new surfacing to the “live” depot.

The industrial unit let to Next was built in 2007 and had previously been occupied by Asda on a short-term basis while the food retailer reorganised its distribution chain. Next has continued to invest in the business, spending £129m on stores, warehousing and systems.

The details of the works completed are as followed:

  • Phase 145 Spaces, 1060 m2
  • Phase 2 – 10 Spaces, 322 m2
  • Phase 3  – 16 Van Spaces, 540 m2
  • Phase 4  – 62 Spaces, 1640 m2
